Through the practice of meditation, we glimpse unconditional goodness as the ground of our existence. Opening to ourselves with gentleness and appreciation, we begin to see our potential as genuine and compassionate human beings. Explore this approach to living by attending our upcoming introductory program.   Level I: The Art of Being Human

Experience the world as sacred and discover basic goodness as your birthright. This program begins on Friday evening with a talk on discovering basic goodness in ourselves and the world. On Saturday and Sunday there will be meditation instruction, meditation practice, and more talks and discussion.

The cost is $125 for members, $140 for nonmembers with discounts available for students, seniors, and low income individuals. Registration begins at 6:30 on Friday night. Put your name on the list on the registration table if you plan to attend the program.

The Shambhala teachings recognize that the truth of innate human wisdom does not belong to any one religion or doctrine. We appreciate all genuine contemplative traditions, whether they originate from the great religions, the arts, or from indigenous cultures. Primordial wisdom arises when the mind is tamed by means of contemplative practice.

The Shambhala Training path of study and contemplative practice begins with a series of weekend levels, known as the Heart of Warriorship. Participants become established in meditation practice, and discover the basic principles of courageous living. To learn more, visit Shambhala Training International

An advanced series called Sacred Path of the Warrior, is offered to those who have completed the five Heart of Warriorship levels.

E-mail questions about the program above to Norm Henderson at STinfo@shambhaladenver.org.
